For a breakfast blend, you can add yogurt to the mix. Find the recipe here

Pear Puree

Pear is one fruit that does not need to be steamed. You can leave the skin or take it off – I rather peel it off using a potato peeler.

Avocado Puree

Although not a fruit as the rest of the list I had to include the avocado. Avocado by itself tastes great, and when you mix it with other fruits it’s a hidden in flavor and you are providing a super food, super nutritious option.

  1. Ohhh! I have been toying with the idea of making my own baby food for my son. He will be 4 months soon, and I definitely don’t plan on trying to feed him solids until at least month 6 or 7, but it’s good to prep in advance!

  2. Can I eat those purée too! Lol! I’ve never tried avocado purée but I love it in my smoothies and every parent needs to see this, so healthy and good for the baby.

  3. This brings back such fond memories of when I made homemade purees for both of my kiddos! Lots of veggies were included. They are now ages 6 & 9 and still love veggies!

  4. The combinations featured in this blog are really good, and I will agree with the point, that it also depicts various spices/shades of life.

  5. You suggest some really interesting combinations of flavours. Our little eaters gave us a lot of challenges, what they liked one day they didn’t the next. Maybe we needed more options.

  6. This is such a nice idea, homemade food for babies is really good and more healthier than the one we buy from the market.

  7. what a great idea! I will surely try this at home, been searching for this kind of recipe thank you for this

  8. My son is almost two but he still likes purée. I loved the tips you shared on avocado purée, since my son is not fond of avocado.
